About Us
Hagar Marketing, who has just celebrated their 27th anniversary, emerged into the emergency power industry in 1998, as the agents and distributors for Deep Sea Electronics PLC (UK). Hagar Distribution, who has just celebrated their 12th anniversary, was formed in 2013 as a sister-company. Today, Hagar Distribution specialises in sales and technical support for a wide range of generator modules and equipment, as well as electrical board components and LV switchgear.
We are proud to represent brands such as Deep Sea Electronics, ABB, GAC (Governors of America Corp.) and VDO, among many others.
We pride ourselves with having good stock holdings of all of the most sought after units and offer the complete package from sales inquiries, electrical design, on site commissioning and after sales technical support.
Our design team is here to consult and offer you advice on all your application options.
Situated in the industrial city of Germiston, (12kms east of Johannesburg) we are in the heart of the African subcontinent powerhouse and often pay visits to neighbouring countries.
Our supply and service chain covers areas such as Angola, Botswana, Congo, Lesotho, Malawi, Madagascar, Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Each range has been designed and manufactured by our industry leading experts to deliver a range of features and benefits that set new standards across the industry.
Engine & Off-Highway Control Modules
DSEControl® is a dynamic range of control systems for engines, pumps and compressors and an advanced collection of programmable controllers and displays for vehicles and off-highway machinery. Our specialist team of development engineers have created a range of products that provide outstanding performance across multiple application environments.
Intelligent Battery Chargers
DSEPower® is a range of 12, and 24 volt compact, intelligent, enclosed and dual output battery chargers developed and manufactured by our specialist power engineering team within our UK head office. Each charger within the range includes multiple industry-leading features that are setting new standards in charging technology and enhancing multiple charging environments
Auto Transfer Switch Control Modules
DSEAts® is an advanced range of automatic transfer switch control modules and power supplies designed and manufactured at our UK head office by our dedicated ATS engineering team. Bought a DSE6120 MIII controller from this company paid R 7500 for it – controller faulty doesnt want to repair it or refund my money – if they send it in has to wait a few months – useless company and technical department dont do business with them

Does Hagar offer training?
Indeed, Hagar Distribution does provide training on a regular basis, with sessions held approximately every two to three weeks. For further information, kindly refer to the training page on our website: https://www.hagar.co.za/training-schedule/
Does Hagar provide technical support for site installations?
Yes. While we are primarily a distributor, our technical team provides high-level design support, engineering, consulting, CAD drawings, and commissioning assistance to ensure our products are integrated correctly.
Can I buy individual components or only bulk orders?
Hagar caters to both project-scale orders for OEMs and individual replacement components for maintenance and repair operations (MRO). We ship components to industrial sites and partners across Southern Africa
Are your products compatible with existing factory PLCs?
Absolutely. Some of our DSE, ABB and GAC products support standard communication protocols like Modbus RTU/TCP and CANbus for seamless integration.
